Refund Policy

Effective date: January 6, 2026

This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available for CoverMint (“CoverMint”, “we”, “us”), available at https://covermint.app. By purchasing a subscription or other paid offering, you agree to this Refund Policy.

1. General rule

Payments are generally non-refundable. This includes subscription fees, renewals, and taxes (where applicable), except where required by law or expressly stated in this policy.

Important: If you are a consumer and applicable law provides a right to cancel (including a minimum 14-day cancellation period), we will honor that right as described below. For subscription services, this cancellation right generally applies to the initial subscription purchase, not each automatic renewal.

2. Free trials and plan changes

  • Trials: If your plan includes a free trial, you can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
  • Upgrades/downgrades: If you change plans, billing may adjust immediately or on the next renewal depending on how the change is applied at checkout. Any differences (credits, proration, or additional charges) are calculated by our payment provider and shown during checkout or in your billing portal.

3. When we may issue a refund

We will issue refunds where required by law. In particular:

  • Consumer 14-day cancellation right (where applicable): If you are a consumer and the law where you live provides a right to cancel your purchase, you may cancel within 14 days from the day after the transaction is completed and receive a refund of payments received for that transaction. For subscription services, this right is generally available following the initial subscription and not upon each automatic renewal.
  • Digital services notice: Where permitted by applicable law, if the Service is supplied digitally and you request immediate access/performance, your statutory cancellation/withdrawal right may be limited or lost once performance has begun or you have had the benefit of the Service. If local law does not allow this limitation/waiver, we will comply with local law.

In addition to any refunds required by law, we may consider issuing a refund in limited cases, such as:

  • Duplicate charges for the same billing period.
  • A technical billing error attributable to CoverMint or our payment provider.
  • Proven unauthorized purchase (for example, a payment method used without your permission), subject to verification. In many cases, you should also contact your bank or card issuer promptly.
  • Service unavailability or material defects that prevent core features from functioning, where we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe after you report it.

If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method where possible. Refund timing depends on your bank/card issuer and the payment provider.

4. When refunds are not available

Except where required by law (including any applicable consumer cancellation/withdrawal rights), refunds will generally not be provided for:

  • Change of mind, unused time, or partial use of the Service after any applicable cancellation/withdrawal period.
  • Failure to cancel before a renewal date (including automatic renewal charges), where the law does not require a refund.
  • Issues caused by third-party services or environments outside our control (for example, changes in Upwork’s website behavior, availability, restrictions, or your network/device setup).
  • Account suspension or termination due to violations of our Terms or policies.
  • Discounted or promotional pricing, unless required by law.

5. EU/EEA/UK consumer notice (digital services)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, EEA, or the United Kingdom, you may have statutory rights, including a right to cancel within 14 days unless an exception applies. Where applicable, cancellation requests should be made within the required time window and will be handled in accordance with applicable law. For subscription services, the right to cancel generally applies to the initial subscription and not each automatic renewal.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact us as soon as possible and include:

  • The email address used for your CoverMint account.
  • Transaction details (date, amount, invoice/receipt ID if available).
  • A brief description of the issue and any relevant screenshots or error messages.

We may ask for additional information to verify the request and investigate billing or technical issues. In some cases, refunds may be processed via our payment provider’s buyer support / billing portal.

7. Chargebacks and disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend access to the Service while the dispute is being reviewed. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue quickly.

8. Changes to this Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

9. Contact

Questions about refunds should be sent to us via the contact details listed on our Privacy Policy page or the Service’s contact page.
